York Nebraska

I’ve been bonding with my newly-discovered nephew for the past couple of days – he really seems to like me a lot and has followed me EVERYWHERE.  I swear, he’s one of the cutest things in the world.  Anyway, we got a little bored and I decided to let him throw the dart for my Nebraska game.  I find it amusing that on his first try, he hit York Nebraska – which I haven’t written about yet.  So Samuel, honey, this is for you.

York, Nebraska is a city and is the county seat of York County Nebraska.  The supposed claim to fame of York Nebraska in terms of establishments would be York College, Epworth Village and the Nebraska Correctional Center for Women.  Of course, that can’t be ALL York, Nebraska has attached to its name.  After all, York Nebraska is known as both the “Crossroads of the Midwest” and the “Crossroads of America” – and it has been that way for more than a hundred years already.  Up until today, it serves as a major resting and trading stop for travelers, as it is pretty much located right next to the Interstate 80 and US Route 81 and is part of the more fertile lands of the state.

While not booming with unique attractions, York Nebraska is still a major city deserving of attention.
