Western Nebraska

I used to think that Western Nebraska is just that – you know, western Nebraska. All the Western counties and and areas of the state of Nebraska. As it turns out, Western Nebraska also happens to a be a village Saline County. The village of Western Nebraska is incredibly small, with a population just shy of three hundred individuals back in 2000. I only found out about this because I once again met a guy at a bar and he told me about it. Funny how life circles around like that. In any case, the guy didn’t live in Western Nebraska, but he did stop over there for a bit. I don’t quite remember how we got to that conversation, but I believe it had something to do with the fact that I was muttering about my self-imposed city lessons and wondering how much of western Nebraska I’ve covered.

In any case, the village of Western Nebraska is obviously young and has very few things to be excited about, unlike the REAL Western Nebraska (as Lily and I will hence refer to it), which is a collection of exciting things to do and attractions to experience. Not that I’m not intrigued by the village of Western Nebraska; it sounds like a nice, quiet place to raise a family. If I ever do have a family, I might move to the village of Western Nebraska.

It depends.
