Papillion Nebraska
I was actually falling asleep when I realized that in one of my previous posts I had mentioned Papillion Nebraska and had forgotten to write about that city. Granted, I didn’t come about with that name via the GAME (the one that involves the map and the dart, and more recently, Sammy). Nevertheless, I decided that I should write about Papillion Nebraska now instead of waiting for the dart to hit it. I’d have preferred to have researched and written this with my beloved nephew, but the urge hit me in the middle of the night…
Papillion Nebraska, is, as you may know, the county seat of Sarpy County. A suburb of Omaha, Papillion Nebraska was named for the butterflies that were supposedly present when the territory was discovered, and was first established in 1870. It has since then become the sixth best place to live in in the country thanks to its open air malls, amphitheater, and parks. In other words, Papillion Nebraska has some of the best recreational areas in the county, if not the state. It’s a good place to indulge in being outdoorsy, which I’m sure Lily would appreciate after working for hours on end indoors. It also doesn’t hurt that Bricks and his girl might move there when they get married.
It may not be a major destination in our road trip, but it’s a place to hang out in.
