Norfolk Nebraska
I just met a guy from Norfolk, Nebraska. And, being dismally bad at geography, I had to admit to him that I didn’t really know where it is, even though I’m living in the same state. He just laughed and told me about me, but let me tell you: it one of the most embarrassing meetings of my life. It’s bad enough that I looked silly over something as simple as Norfolk, Nebraska; I just had to do that in front of some guy I’ve been staring at for hours.
Michael (that’s what he said his name was) told me not to sweat it too much, since Norfolk tends to be overshadowed by the bigger cities like Omaha. He DID tell me that I can find Norfolk, Nebraska around the Route 81-Route 275 intersection, and that I should visit sometime because he hears I’m a Johnny Carson fan and he kind of grew up there (I’m not really a Johnny Carson fan, but I was to embarrassed to correct him). I nevertheless got intrigued when he told me that his uncle was somehow involved in that Norfolk, Nebraska bank heist in 2002, where five people got killed.
Of course, things got awkward after a while and he left. I never get dates.
