Nebraska Secretary of State
I know that some of the people I know will groan about this and tell me that I’m being optimistically supportive again, but I simply have to say this: keep up the good work, Mr. Gale! You’re doing a great job as the Nebraska Secretary of State!
Now, if some of you outsiders are confused, allow me to explain the realm of duties that the Nebraska Secretary of State is responsible for. I think the most important aspect of being Secretary of State is his (or her) involvement in the elections – it is most important now, when THE election of elections are coming up. Other than that, the Nebraska Secretary of State has a hand in local business services, occupational licensing, state rules and regulations records management, international relations and youth civics programs. I’m not kidding. Use a search engine and you find out thing like that.
In any case, even though my democratic/liberal friends disapprove of the fact that he’s a Republican, I honestly think he’s done a good job (well, at least he hasn’t REALLY screwed up since his appointment as the twenty-sixth Nebraska Secretary of State; not in a terminally big way). Even though I get into fights over this, I’m standing my ground. Besides, badmouthing officials is not helping any of us at all.
