Nebraska Real Estate
One of my on-line acquaintances asked me about Nebraska real estate, because she and her new husband (husband number three she would joke, in a harem of five) were planning to move to Nebraska. After making several jokes along the lines of “Why would you want to?” I apologized and told her that I didn’t know much about it yet because I generally don’t pay attention to that kind of thing. I promised to call her, though, after I’ve done my research.
I AM posting what I’ve found out so far in the hopes of helping those who want it.
The best place to find information about Nebraska real estate would be over the internet, in particular, the Nebraska Real Estate Commission website. Most of this stuff I’m about to say came from there. First and foremost, you have to be sure of what you’re getting into. To be prepared, grab a copy of the Consumer Guide to Buying and Selling Homes (there’s a PDF file of it on the Nebraska Real Estate Commission Website). As with most transactions, you have to make sure that your agent and medium is legitimate – check him, her, or the company out. Also, know that you are to expect a Seller Property Condition Form from the seller.
Buying Nebraska real estate isn’t necessarily easy. But it’s safe.
