Nebraska Health and Human Services

I never really noticed it before, but my parents are actually getting pretty old. I spent some time talking to them over a meal about how my job-hunt was going (which could be summarized in three words: “not very well”), when I looked at them. I really LOOKED at them. And I realized that there more wrinkles on them than I thought, just a bit more difficulty in moving around for them.

At that point I realized that I was never so grateful for the Nebraska Health and Human Services (also known as the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services) as I was at that moment. I’m pretty sure that without them and the kinds of service they offer to the citizens of this state, I would have freaked out in a second.

The Nebraska Health and Human Service, for those of you who don’t know or live outside of this country, has (in my opinion) one of the best programs for the senior or aging citizens of the state. I didn’t really think about it much before, since I only used to contact the Nebraska Health and Human Services to get copies of my birth certificate, but looking at it now, I’m relieved to know that my parents will be taken care of in the future, just in case I really screw up.
