Nebraska Football Schedule
So my brothers (both in blood and in spirit) were all freaking out about the upcoming Nebraska football schedule, and they’re sucking my poor, adorable nephew – I don’t really want the boy to be related to them if they insist on acting like fools – Sammy into the whole football fever thing. Which is ridiculous, because the 2008 to 2009 schedule for the Huskers stated that the first game won’t be until April. APRIL. I have no idea why they’re all acting as if the game is this weekend; they’ve seen the Nebraska football schedule. And don’t they even dare start with my beef about them and Sammy because I KNOW that the little munchkin is cute in that tiny jersey, but like heck am I going to let them influence the boy into becoming a mini football lunatic.
The worst part is that Donna’s letting them be because she has a thing for one of my lunatic brothers in spirit, and she was excited about the Nebraska football schedule herself (she’s making football-shaped cookies! Which are delicious but nevertheless proof of her insanity). In any case, I’m trying to fight the urge to take the Nebraska Football schedule – because I still like watching out for the games – and sweep Sammy away from me, because obsession is not healthy for a child his age.
