Nebraska Election
Well, the primary elections are coming up in May and Nebraska elections are definitely not going to be any less of an event compared to the other states. That’s not to say the Nebraska elections aren’t to be taken seriously; I mean, elections aren’t parties in the level of Spring Break or anything like that; but elections are nevertheless one of those things that generate excitement because they could change the way things work in a place.
Here in Nebraska, elections (and this is simply my opinion) would be both very exciting and very tense. Or maybe it’s just my family who makes it seem that way; while most of the time they don’t really think about the Nebraska elections, when it looms up within a few months’ time, they begin to panic and try to learn as much about the candidates as they could. To be clear, I come from a family who, at the time of Nebraska elections or National elections would not vote Democratic, Republican, or Independent exclusively – we research those candidates and their platforms, and then we go from there. I’m not sure how many other families in Nebraska are like us, who think that partisan politics just makes things worse.
In any case, I’m hoping that whatever happens in the Primary Nebraska elections in May doesn’t stir up too much trouble.
