Nebraska DoT
Okay, here’s the thing: I’ve been talking a lot with Lily lately, and I was kind of surprised to suddenly have an argument with her over something so stupid. That “something stupid” happens to be about the Nebraska DoT or Nebraska Department of Transportation. Now, I’m willing to admit that Lily’s often smarter than me, bus she insists that there the Nebraska DoT isn’t really anything but an umbrella under which the Nebraska DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles to the yokels who don’t know) and the Nebraska Department of Roads fall under. She insists that it’s just a name. I, on the other hand, believe that the Nebraska Department of Transportation, or Nebraska DoT is a bigger government department that moderates both the DMV and the NDR.
We’ve never had a fight this big before, and I really can’t believe that it’s over the Nebraska DoT. I mean, the Nebraska DoT is a rather strange thing to end a friendship over, right? Okay, sure, neither of us have it in us to back down, but that’s why we were friends in the first place. And the fight over the Nebraska DoT happened because we were making up some crazy plans for that road trip that hasn’t happened yet.
Whatever the real status of the Nebraska DoT is, I hope that Lily and I make up.
