Nebraska Baseball
Much like any other sport in Nebraska, when someone says “Nebraska Baseball” the top of mind would be the baseball team of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Of course, although that team had distinguished itself by turning up some exceptional players and generating some impressive collegiate records, there are other Nebraska Baseball teams, programs and organizations that have been generating influence as of late.
One of the favorites at the moment is the Nebraska Baseball Academy, which sponsors some of the best baseball training camps in America. They key, they claim, is to develop a “positive mental attitude” not just towards one’s self, but towards the game as well. What the Nebraska Baseball Academy does is stress the fundamentals of ball-play and inspire love of the game among athletes.
Another group that is important to Nebraska baseball is the Nebraska American Legion Baseball, which supports various Nebraskan Junior and Senior Baseball teams (non-professional). It is run by honorably-discharged army veterans of war, whose goals include promoting the American way of life.
To Nebraska, baseball is one of the most important American sports; there are several diamonds, official and unofficial, all over the state.
