Beatrice Nebraska
Given that I just got back from that pseudo-road trip around Lancaster County, I’m more pumped up than ever to turn that real Nebraska road trip that I keep dreaming about into a reality. I don’t think I’ll be able to take it if the road trip that never happens, never does happen. With that, I marched up to my favorite room in the house and began to play that game again – the one with the darts and the giant map of Nebraska. This time, after ten tries, I landed on Beatrice Nebraska.
Beatrice, Nebraska is a Gage County city not too far away from my home city of Lincoln. Pretty much blessed agriculturally, some people say that Beatrice Nebraska is pretty much a quintessential Nebraska place. But more than that, Beatrice Nebraska is home to the a great philanthropic establishment – the Beatrice State Developmental Center or BSDC is a place for individuals suffering from retardation (mild to profound). I believe that for that alone Lily would insist on us dropping by Beatrice Nebraska because she had a brother who suffered from the same problem, and since his passing she liked to visit places like this to honor him.
I personally would like to visit the site of the infamous West Side Baptist Church Explosion in Beatrice Nebraska, if only to bask in the possibility of miracles.
